Oh my head. Meredith moaned to herself as she tried to do her morning rounds. Her complexion was pale... even more so than usual. Her patients were asking her what was wrong, even they could tell. She just told them she was fine, that it was just lack of sleep; but any trained doctor could tell it was more than that. She drug her feel now, as she made her way to her locker. The hand she lifted was shaking slightly. By then her free arm was clutching her stomach. She pulled a bottle out and drank a small swig, it was to settle her stomach. She put it back and walked into the hall again, taking her arm off of her stomach to make sure no one saw she was in so much pain. As soon as he stopped putting pressure on it her face tightened.
After this was over she tried to go to see a long term patient. She put her hand on the door and found herself leaning on it, she turned and ran from the hospital... atleast her headache was gone. She grab a pole that head a bright light. Pouring rain drenched her as she pulled her hair back and hurled. Everything spun and she found herself wrapping her arms around the pole for balance. Then she turned and hurled again before dragging her feet back into the hospital and into the On-Call Room; where she laid down on a bed and willed herself not to scream or cry in agony. She pulled her legs towards her slightly and just laid there.

Well, this was interesting. Carter was used to difficult situations. He'd worked in a county ER for 11 years, he'd been addicted to drugs, he'd made mistakes with patients, dealt with squabbling residents, witnessed horrors working as a crash doc in the Congo, but in all his years of experience he was now facing the one thing that he never in a millions years he thought he would stumble into, a situation so foreign to his thoughts that he could hardly believe it was happening. He was starting at a new hospital. So it was with a nervous stomach that he wandered the first floor, the tour he'd taken the previous day still as fresh as his new lab coat in his mind. He wasn't due to start in the ER for another hour so he'd decided to take a peek about the rest of the hospital and try to mingle with people. This, however, wasn't going so well. He'd only so much as popped his head into the Pediatric wing when he'd been kicked in the knee by a boy who didn't want a foley cath. After that fiasco he decided he'd sleep away his last hour before starting his shift, thus finding himself where he was now, standing outside the on-call room. Even this was a new experience for him, considering that County didn't have an on-call room. No, there the docs took an empty exam room to sleep in, or, if one wasn't available, the floor of the doctor's lounge. This here was fancy duds in his opinion. With a deep breath that he wasn't entirely aware of taking, he quietly opened the door, not wanting to disturb any sleeping staff. The room, however, was mostly empty, save for one person who seemed awake. One look at her, though, and his mind jumped to doctor mode. He stepped in and, without a word, knelt beside the bed she was laying on and placed a hand on her forehead. Sure enough, it was hot, and she seemed to be a little hypoxic. And just as instantly as he'd gone into doctor mode, he was out of it, realizing just how he would feel if someone came in and just examined him without way of explanation. "Sorry," he said as he pulled his hand back and rested his arms on his knees, "I'm Dr. Carter, I just started in the ER." He paused for a minute before continuing, fiddling with his stethoscope as he did so. "Are you on-call? Because you certainly don't look like you're fit to be in today." ((OOC: Hope that was okay It's been awhile since I've written, so I'm a bit rusty.))

Larry was walking down the hall. Pushing his orange hair back and smiled. Seeing a new doctor and Dr. Grey he hurried by. "Is everything okay here?" He asked the too of them. "Dr. Daniels. Surgeon and Doctor." He nodded.
"Tisk tisk.. Dr. Grey you know better too be on call if you don't feel well." He said. "Come on let's take you to a room see what the problem is." He said pointing to the closest door near Dr. Grey.

Meredith Grey... and yes, I'm currently on-call. She gasped, looking at John Carter. She wrapped her arms around her stomach and moaned. She realized she couldn't hide this anymore. When Larry entered the room it seemed to take all she had to look over. Hey. She moaned. She listened to his words before standing up slowly. Yet again, everything spun and she grabbed a garbage can before throwing up again. Her legs began to shake and she collapsed on the bed again. She grabbed the head of the bed and squeezed her fingers into it as hard she could in pain, she bit her lip and looked at the other two attending doctors before her.

Meredith was gasping for air. Go... ahead. She whimpered. Her heart was pounding and sweat was rolling off of her forehead. She kept squeezing the bed in agony. Please... hurry. She gasped. She knew something was horribly wrong and she was terrified. She tried not to roll around but she did, she couldn't help it. She squeezed her eyes shut and when she opened them she looked at Dr. O'connor with desperation and distress in her eyes.

"I'm going to hook you up to the bag valve mask as you seem to be breathing inefficiently."He informed her.Now hooking up the mask to the machine he suddenly thought of something."I'm going to check your blood pressure."He said as he put the Sphygmomanometer around her right arm.He started the blood pressure measurement.
(OOC:Why do they call it a sphygmomanometer? It's such a long name for a little device.)

((*goes to get one then puts it up to name...* dunno, it's not even as long as it, lol)) Meredith nodded. She put both hands on the mask and gasped into it deserately. Her breathing slowed and regulated. Her blood pressure was racing. She whimpered because she couldn't gasp anymore. She squeezed her eyes shut again, everything hurt right now. Mostly around her abdomen. [/sub]

Meredith had slight inflammation. She had flu like chills and a high white blood cell count. She was crying in pain and fear now, unable to hold them back. Ev... everything......... hurts. She whimpered, still gasping a little. Despite her best intentions, she was slowly curling into a pained ball. She put her head back a little.

"Try to straighten out,"He ordered "this could be an Aeortic aneurysm or something else having to do with vessel walls."This could be deadly if not corrected somehow. This had to be over soon.

((She has Appendicitus and she ignored it *tsk tsk* and her body's become Sepsis)) Meredith gasped in pain as she did what she was instructed, her face paled again and she held her breath. Once straightened she let go of it and cried a bit harder. I'm scared. She whispered, her voice shaking. She had her trust in the doctor(s) now. Her complexion was white now. Her whole body shaking like her voice. She looked up at Dr. O'Connor again, her eyes pleading for help. [/sub]

"Ive got it!It's appendicitus!"He realized "When did you last eat?"He asked as he gave her antibiotics. He would have to remove the appendix and that would be larascopic surgery which he'd only done twice.

Yesterday. She gasped, unsure of what time. She laid still and silent for a few moments before the treatment for Appendicitus sunk in.... and then the treatment for Sepsis. She was confused and now... terrified. Against her better intentions, she started to panic. [/sub]
